Mrs. Doty was my fifth grade teacher at Taft. I will never forget the day she actually took her hair down. It was so long and beautiful. My parents, also teachers, thought the world of her. Very gentle spirit. Wonderful memories.

I've loved Sara Frances Flowers Doty since I was 14 years old. She was my dearest friend's mother and my mother's college friend. Ive never known a kinder, more loving and genteel woman. She taught my brother and tutored my granddaughter. I was honored to call her my friend and so glad I went to see her a couple of months ago. RIP Ms. Doty. Give Murphy a hug!

She was my 5th grade teacher at Taft Elementary in 1970(?). I remember two things about her: she encouraged us to read and challenged us to THINK. She was a very good teacher.
