Shane Fontaine, 50, of Lumberton, Texas passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024.
Shane was born on April 10, 1973, in Beaumont, Texas to Donna Bethel Fontaine and Robert Barry Fontaine. He was a man of Faith who loved his church, Grace River Chapel in Beaumont. Shane helped with the children at church and they loved him dearly. Part of his immediate family was the church and he called them his “Church Family”. They made his life have special meaning as he served his “LORD AND SAVIOR”. Shane loved his model cars and airplanes; he enjoyed watching Duck Dynasty on T.V. He was known for many wonderful things but his famous quote was, “Well I didn’t’ know”, which often brought a smile to everyone’s face. Shane was a child of GOD, he was a wonderful son, brother and family member and church member. He was childlike as he loved everyone and treated everyone with respect.
Survivors include his sister, Wendy Fontaine Showalter of Lumberton; nieces and nephews, Lane Welch and his wife Abbie, Kailey Showalter, Karly Showalter all of Lumberton and one niece on the way, Jentry Welch.
Shane was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Donna Fontaine.
A gathering of Family and Friends will take place from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Grace River Chapel in Beaumont located at 5050 Eastex Freeway, Beaumont, TX 77708. Services will immediately follow at 11: 00 a.m. Tuesday at Grace River Chapel. Private cremation services will take place at a later date.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Children of Grace River Chapel in Beaumont who loved him so dearly. Shane will forever be in their thoughts and prayers.
