Sharon Naomi Burleigh
Sharon Naomi Johnson Burleigh, 55, of Port Neches, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at her residence in Port Neches.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches.
Sharon was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, on April 22, 1968, to Eric S. Johnson Sr. and Janice Chatelain-Woodward. She worked as a Probation and Parole Officer for the State of Louisiana in the Department of Corrections for over 27 years, retiring in 2017. She always wanted to be involved in everything. She worked at Groves Middle School as a Suspension Facilitator. She also volunteered with the school’s volleyball teams and was active with the Port Arthur Little Theatre. She will be missed dearly by everyone that knows her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Janice Chatelain, and her father, Eric Johnson Sr.
She is survived by her husband of twenty-eight years, Edward Burleigh of Port Neches, TX; two daughters, Nichole Richard and husband Wesley of Arnaudville, LA; and Isabelle Burleigh and Fiancé Ryan Williams of Port Neches, TX; three grandchildren, Genevieve Richard, Norah Richard, and Pierce Richard; and her brother, Eric Johnson Jr. and wife Caroline Simpson of Miami, FL.
Another memorial service will be held at Martin and Castille Funeral Home at their downtown location.
