Sharon was such a sweet person; she was my "Avon Lady" for several years. I always looked forward to her coming because she was such a lively person. She brightened my days by her joyful attitude; she was fun to be around. I missed her when she stopped selling Avon but was able to be friends on face book...We will pray for God to comfort your hearts...Faye Bledsoe

I have a funny memory about Sharon and I that topped the chart for our high school escapades. We decided to go to Galveston one day which was on a school day. My mother would not let me go to the beach without an adult or parent, but Sharon and I thought of a way that we could sneak off and go by ourselves. After all we were seniors and thought we could skip school just once and so we hatched a plan. I had never skipped school before but we thought our plan was full proof. We both left home that morning and went to school or so our mothers thought we had gone to school. And we would’ve gotten away with it had Sharon‘s mother not called to tell the school to get a message to tell Sharon that she was to wait after school for her father to pick her up after work and ride up with him to their beach house. Mrs. Dobles told Sharon‘s mother that Sharon was not at school and so they began asking who also was not at school that hung around with Sharon. And of course it was me so they called my mother and my mother said that I also had gone to school that day. Well, we had a great time in Galveston and we drove back to Port Neches just in time for the bell to ring for school to be out and there were both our mothers, angrily waiting for us. We got in hot water for sure. We laughed about that for years, Sharon was a great friend and even though I haven’t seen her in a long time, I still have the fondest memories of her and our friendship. She was a loyal friend and had a generous and loving heart. One day on that beautiful shore, we will meet again.
