Sharon Ann Kelley

1946 ∼ 2021

Sharon Ann Kelley, age 74, passed away suddenly January 13, 2021 after a sudden illness. She was born April 5, 1946 in Kankakee Illinois to Colonel (Retired) Donald & Kathleen Fisher, who preceded her in death. She has been married to her longtime love Jerry Kelley for 54 years, the first 15 years being an Army wife.

Sharon was a devoted mother, as a den mother in Cub Scouts and was very active in Boy Scouts with her two sons and husband, as well as being active in Three Rivers Council. She was also involved in the Scout Adult leadership Training for years. She ended up working at H&R Block for the last 27 years, retiring only a year ago.

She was a doting grandmother and was involved in her granddaughter’s dance recitals and her grandsons sporting, Cub Scouts and Boy Scout events.

Sharon and Jerry loved to travel and took numerous trips across the country in their travel trailer often with their grandchildren and shelties; and other trips with friends over the years.

Sharon was a strong person who had everyone’s best interest at heart and dearly loved her family and friends. She enjoyed scrapbooking and having Super Bowl parties just for the commercials.

She is survived by her husband, Captain (Retired) Jerry Kelley, son David Kelley, son Alan Kelley and daughter-in-law Trisha Kelley, grandsons Justin Kelley and John Redumis and granddaughter Katelyn Shuler, her husband Michael Shuler and great granddaughter Elizabeth Shuler.

Sharon and I became best friends in the eighth grade 62 years ago. After high school graduation we kept in touch sporadically as our lives and careers required most of our attention. In our retirement years we rekindled our relationship. I will miss our conversations. I will miss observing her determination, persistence and sometimes stubbornness exhibited in all her endeavors. I am thankful for sharing the pathway in our journey of life. My prayers for all of her family in their deep sorrow of her loss.
