Sharon Diane Sistrunk

Sharon Diane Sistrunk, 62, of Nederland passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022. Sharon was born in Rome, Georgia on December 25, 1959, to Edward Harold Payne and Melba Jean Pepper Allen.

Sharon was a loving daughter, mother, and grandmother. She cherished her grandchildren dearly and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.

Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Edward Harold Payne.

Those left behind to cherish Sharon’s memory included her beloved mother, Melba Jean Allen of Nederland, TX; daughters, Ashley Wofford and her husband, Casey of West Columbia, TX; Whitney Thompson and her fiancé, Trevor Cooper of Port Acres, TX; and Caysie Sroda and her husband, Robert of Westhope, ND; grandchildren, Cayden Wofford, Avery Wofford, Sterling Cooper, Anistan Cooper and Raegan Sroda. Sharon also leaves behind her brother, Robert Lopez and his wife, Mariebell and their daughter, Briana Hughes and her husband, Chase, and a host of extended family and friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Sharon’s Life to begin at 2:00 p.m., at Melancon’s Funeral Home. Cremation services are under the direction of Melancon’s Funeral Home.
