Sherri Ann Foster Steed, 71, of Houston, Texas passed away Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Vitas Hospice in Conroe, Texas. She was born October 20, 1948 in Port Neches, Texas to William E. Foster and Dorothy Ann Farley Foster. Sherri had lived in Port Neches for 37 years before moving to Houston. She was a retired schoolteacher with 30 years of service. She taught in the Nederland Independent School District and finished her teaching career with the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District. Sherri was preceded in death by her parents, William E. Foster and Dorothy Ann Foster and two brothers, Ronnie Foster and Jimbo Foster. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, David Steed of Houston, Texas, two daughters, Chrissi Guerrero and husband Paul of San Marcos, Texas and Kasey Steed and spouse Elaine of Austin, Texas, sister, Billie Jean Wallace and husband Bill of Bacliff, Texas, five grandchildren, Paul Hunter Guerrero, Bren Guerrero, Elyse Steed, Kaelyn Steed and Maya Steed, and great grandson, Axton Guerrero. A private family graveside service will be held in Oak Bluff Memorial Park.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lived down the street from Sherri for probably 16 years. One summer I went to the beach with the whole family. What a precious family. Praying that you get through this time with God's help.

For David and family of Sherri, so sorry to read of your loss. I knew Sherri from 1st grade-12th grade, but as so many of us do....lost touch after high school. She was a wonderful friend to all who were privileged to know her. God Bless her and God Bless you.
