Sherri Buchanan Bradley, 46, of Groves, Texas passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2015. She was born in Nederland, TX on June 13, 1968 to the late Larry Buchanan and Billie Jean Metcalf. Sherri was a lifetime area resident and was employed as a registered nurse.

Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2015 at Melancon’s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland.

Sherri is survived by: son, Zachary Buchanan of Groves, Texas; granddaughter, Madisyn Buchanan of Groves, Texas; sisters, Patricia Allen of Indiana, Mary Buchanan of California and Deborah Perkins of Indiana; brothers, Dean Buchanan of Indiana, James Buchanan of California, Dean Frankum of Texas and Terry Head of Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to Melissa Atchison and sincere thanks and great appreciation to her caregiver, Dena Stewart.

I had a best friend her name was Carol Ann Courts. She use to sing I've got joy joy joy down in my heart to her. When Sherri began talking to Carol (about 1yr.) she began calling her JoyJoy, that nickname stuck w/her the rest of her life! Sherri was so cute we all had a and of spoiling her when she was little!
