Sherry Dale Kidder, 77, of Nederland, Texas passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Oak Grove Nursing Home in Groves, Texas.

Sherry was born on November 11, 1944, in Beaumont, Texas to Winnie Bell Hardin Bridges and Clifton Clarence Bridges, Sr. She was a housewife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her family dearly. Sherry loved to go fishing; enjoyed sewing, quilting and knitting and also loved to watch TV especially the Discovery channel; she also watched religious and medical shows and she could diagnose any medical issue that many friends and family members had. Sherry loved life and always had a smile on her face. She will be missed greatly by all who had the pleasure of meeting her.

Survivors include her children, Michael Kidder and his wife Tracey of Lansing, Michigan, Kimberly Strausburg and her husband Brad of Montana and Karen Chauvin and her husband Terry of Alvin, Texas; sisters, Catherine Schexnider of Groves and Pat LeBlanc of Vidor; brother, Joseph Anthony Bridges of Vidor; three grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Sherry was preceded in death by her siblings, Leroy Bridges, Leon Bridges, Leonard Bridges, Carl Bridges, Clifton Bridges, Jr., Shirley J. Bridges, Mildred Goodman, Dorothy Anderson and Betty Stephens. Also her husband, Kenneth Charles Kidder.

A Chapel Service to Honor the Life of Sherry Dale Kidder will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2022, at Melancon Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas with a visitation to take place prior to the services from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Fairmount Cemetery in Hemphill, Texas under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home in Nederland.
