Sherry Ann Melton

Sherry Ann Melton, 82, of Morrilton, Arkansas passed away February 13, 2020. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas on September 21, 1937 to the late Wilburn W. Spivey and Norma Jean Griner Spivey. She worked as a Teller at Community Bank for 30 years.
Those left to cherish Sherry’s memory are her son, Don Melton, and his wife Donna, of Bridge City, Texas; her daughters, Elizabeth Martin of Vidor, Texas, and Susan Tibbits, and her husband Douglas, of Morrilton, Arkansas; her brother, Wesley C. “Buddy” Spivey, and his wife Sandra, of Port Neches, Texas; her four grandchildren, Chris Melton, and his wife Ashley, Brandon Tibbits, and his wife Rachael, Kailey Tibbits, and Katie Royal, and her husband Jonny; her seven great-grandchildren, Madyson Melton, Mallorie Melton, Layla Lamb, Dustin Melton, Ryden Bennett, Brantley Tibbits, and Maisyn Tibbits; she is also survived by her grand-cats, Mr. Kitty and Rousey, and her grand-dogs, Benji, Gracie, Leo, and Max. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Allen G. Melton.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Monday, February 17, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Ron Thompson and Michael Williams officiating. Internment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park.
