Shirley Elaine Brack, 73, of Groves, Texas passed away Monday, January 16, 2012 at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur, Texas. Shirley was born June 10, 1938 in Fort Scott, Kansas to Dixie J. Pierce and Edna C. Wolfe Pierce. She was a resident of Groves for 22 years and member of First Baptist Church of Port Neches. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Kansas. Shirley retired after 44 years of service in home health as a registered nurse. She was preceded in death by her, parents and daughter, Janelle Tatum. Survivors include her husband, Donald Brack of Groves, TX; step-daughter, Vina Buse and husband, Tom of Wimberly, TX; two sisters, Charlotte "Suzy" Truitt of Phoenix, AZ, Marilyn Hurt of Chanute, KS; three grandchildren, Krystal Tatum, Bryce Tatum, Trey Tatum; son-in-law, Robert Lee Tatum, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Donnie Colburn. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas with Reverend Steve Travis officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
