Shirley Juanita Brown

Shirley Juanita Brown, 72, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. She was born on March 6, 1942 in Marion, Illinois to the late Henry Toler and Bernice Baker Toler. She worked as a custodian for Proctor Baptist Church in Port Arthur.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Nina Jones and husband, Larry of Port Neches; son, Perry Brown of Nederland; grandchildren, Dedra Curtice of Nederland, Heather Walp of Beaumont, Eric Jones of Port Neches, Corey Jones of Port Neches, Jared Jones of Crowley, LA, and Whitney Jones of Houston; and 9 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Brown and her parents.

Funeral Services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Rick Erwin officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. prior to the service.
