Obituary
Shirley Smith Corbin, 62, of Nederland passed away Friday, March 4, 2016 at her residence. Shirley was born May 10, 1953, in Beaumont to the late Harold and Vivian Smith, and lived all of her life in Nederland. She retired from the Southeast Texas Food Bank as a book keeper and a member of the Baptist Faith.
Shirley is survived by her two daughters, Rachel Lindsay of Spring, and Sarah Taylor Rodgers and husband Andy of Nederland; her sister, Melinda Gossage and husband Eddie of South Lake; her brother Derrell Smith and wife Lynell of Nederland; four grandchildren Landon Corbin, Samantha Lindsay, John Lindsay, and Kane Rodgers; and three stepchildren Jeff and Chad Corbin, and Jake Taylor.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Monday, March 7, 2016 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Southeast Texas Food Bank.

I am so sorry to see of Shirley's passing. I taught her and her sister an Brother music at Hillcrest Elementary. She was such a sweet girl. I know that all of you will miss her very much.
