Shirley King Groves - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for Shirley King, 88, who died on Thursday, September 26, 2019 in Port Arthur. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Rev. Jim McClintock will be the Celebrant and Rev. J.C. Coon will Con-Celebrate. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm Monday. Shirley was born in Port Arthur on May 26, 1931 to the late John and Marie Landry Stonich, and was a lifelong area resident. A devout Christian, she was a former member of Trinity Baptist Church and St. Henrys Catholic Church. Shirley was a very loving and caring person, always putting her family first. She enjoyed reading her Bible and spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughter, Marie Watson of Port Arthur; son, George King and wife Angie Dufour King of Abbeville, LA; grandchildren, Mark Watson and wife Sheri, Brian Watson and companion John, Candice King Richardson and husband Paul, George Anthony King, Nicholas Hayes and wife Alicia; great grandchildren, Kelsey Watson Foy and husband Austin, Ryan Watson, Katelyn Watson, Tyler Watson, Brooke Watson, Noah Richardson, Greyson Hayes, Andi Kay Hayes; and a great-great granddaughter, Shay Watson. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Landry DeFee; father, John Stonich; step father, C.K. "Jack" DeFee; son-in-law, Gary Watson; and former husband, Wesley C. King.
