Sidney Paul Badon, Sr. Sidney Paul Badon, Sr., 83, of Groves passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. He was born on January 20, 1935 in Gueydan, Louisiana to Vincent Joseph Badon and Edmay Bertrand Badon. Sidney had lived in Groves since 1949 and was a self-employed Brick Mason for 63 years. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend J.C. Coon officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home on Tuesday evening beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a rosary service to be held at 7:00 p.m. Sidney was preceded in death by his daughter, Lorna Badon Knaus, son in law, Eddie Knaus and brothers and sisters, Joseph Badon, Mary Badon, Donald Badon, Carol Badon Trahan, Anna Mae Badon Reaux, and Jeanie Badon Hoyt. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Ramona Badon of Groves, son, Sidney Paul Badon, Jr. and wife Melinda of Groves, step daughter, Susan Nielson and husband Pat of St. Louis, MO., three step-sons, Jeff Cobb and wife Dorothy of DeLand, FL., Larry Cobb of Groves, Rickey Cobb and wife Mozelle of Port Neches, three sister, Loretta Stevens and husband Max of Orangefield, Ruthie Chisholm of Groves, and Ruby Mahle and husband Toby of Nederland, two brothers, Fabian Badon and wife Annie of Port Arthur and Rodney Badon and wife Madeline of Winnie, eleven grandchildren, Cody Badon and wife Jill, Beau Badon, Cameron Knaus and wife Katrina, Matthew Cobb, Andrew Cobb, Jessica Reynolds and husband Alan, Rebecka Cobb, Rick Nielson, Steven Nielson, Marci Krautner and husband Joseph and Melissa Barnes and husband Cecil, seven great grandchildren and eighteen nieces and nephews.
