Sidney Moses Morgan, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Rayne, Louisiana to parents, Moses and Lorance Morgan, where he was raised with his siblings, Roy, Bill, Dudley, Rose, Willman, and Moses Jr. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1944 and proudly served his country. On his return after WWII he married his hometown sweetheart Lucille Breaux. They then moved to Port Arthur where they raised their four children, Dennis, Becky, Debbie and Terry. He worked for Texaco until 1969 when he became paralyzed from an illness. After the passing of Lucille he fell in love with Patricia Stewart and they were married for 29 years until he lost her to cancer. Sidney always enjoyed playing his guitar and barbequing for the family and listening to music but above all just being with his family. He was preceded in death by both wives, Lucille and Patricia, his parents, and his brothers Roy, Bill and Willman, and his sister Rose. He is survived by his son, Dennis and wife Jeanette, daughter, Becky Jackson and husband T.J., daughter, Debbie, and son, Terry; brothers, Leonard Morgan of Rayne, LA and Dudley Morgan of Broussard, LA; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson; one loving step-granddaughter Victoria Branshaw; and two very close family friends Lisa LeBlanc, Troy Dore and Kathleen LeBlanc; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 8, 2018 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Chaplain Ken Ellzey officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday evening from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
