My condolences to Emille, Mr and Mrs Steele, Scott and Tania Steele. I met Stacye 25 years ago, during our single days, and have many fond memories of our regular trips to Crazy Jose's, movies, or just hanging out. Stacye was my maid of honor. She sold my husband and I our first home. She named my son. We both turned 50 this year with our June birthdays. Stacye had many talents and I marveled at her ability to excel at any task. Smart, articulate, funny, BEAUTIFUL! motivated, she had it all, only her body and health let her down. Her fighting spirit and drive to beat her illness was awe inspiring. The years have flown by and we drifted apart, catching up periodically, but we could always pick up right where we left off. I last saw Stacye last year when I drove to Houston to visit her in a nursing facility during one of her many admissions. My daughter and I visited that Sunday afternoon, and I was amazed at her determination to get well and knowledge about her medical case, which would overwhelm most people. Simply put, she was awesome. And I loved her. Rest in peace Stacye.

Stacye and I went to school together since Helena Park. I remember her as always being kind and happy. After graduation life took us in different directions. However, we became reacquainted when Stacye and Emille started dating. She was still the same sweet Stacye I used to know. I also got to see another side to her due to her illness. I don't think I've ever met a more strong and optimistic person. She was always determined to fight all the way to the end. I also know from our discussions that Stacye is at peace now with our Savior. Our prayers are for a peace and comfort for her family and Emille. Delana & Chip

There are many things I will remember about Stacye...her beautiful smile, her easy laugh, and her true Texas big hair set with Aqua Net! are just a few. She struggled with grace and she fought hard. I hope she knew how much she was loved.

I've known Stacye since elementary school. I remember her as being a sweet and kind girl. We lost touch once we graduated. However, once she and Emille started dating, we became acquainted again. Stacye is one of the strongest people I have ever met, never giving in to her diagnosis. To her, it was a challenge. I had so much admiration for her. Based on many of our conversations, I am comforted to know that Stacye is at peace now with our Savior. Chip and I will miss her witty since of humor. Our prayers are with her family and Emille. God bless you all! Delana & Chip

I'm so sorry to hear of her passing. I meet Stacye at Lamar University. We worked together at the University Press and later joined a sorority together. She and I had a lot of fun together in those day. We lost touch after school but I found I'd been thinking alot about her lately. My condolences to the Steele Family.
