Obituary

Stan Horton, Jr., age 26, of Vidor, Texas passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2015 in Jasper, Texas. He was born on August 16, 1988 in Galveston to Stan Horton, Sr. and Sheryl Miller. He worked in construction as a welder.

Stan is survived by his mother, Sheryl Miller of Fort Wayne, IN; daughter, Jaci Jackson of Kirbyville, TX; sisters, Sara Waudby of Fort Wayne, IN, Shandalyn Horton of Colmesneil, TX, Nikki Horton of Vidor, TX, and Grace Burkholder of Geismer, LA; brothers, Timothy Waudby of Fort Wayne, IN, Beau Horton of Colmesneil, TX, Trent Horton of Kirbyville, TX, and Merlin Burkholder of Geismer, LA; grandfather, Jerry Miller of Fort Wayne, IN; grandmothers, Sherry Horton of Nederland, TX and Dorene Miller of Toledo, OH; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Stan Horton, Sr.; grandmother, Diane Sonnier; grandfather, Glen Horton, Sr.; and great-grandmother, Elvie Abshire.

Funeral Services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County in Nederland, Texas. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In Loving Memory Of: Stan Horton Jr. My memory of you will never fade away The good times we had are here to stay From our childhood I can remember a lot of funny stories I miss sitting and laughing with you about all the crazy things we all did We thought we were so grown up but we were just little kids You've always been a good friend to me And was always there for me to talk to You used to let me confide in you And for that I can never repay Just hope that we can do it all again someday Reality is starting to sink in now This world without you here has put a dent in alot of people's lives You have so many friends and family that love you I surely hope that's something you knew You were always very straight forward :relaxed:never sugar coating a thing I truly hated it at times, but some things you knew I needed to hear You helped me face alot of my fears There's so much I wish I could go back and tell you that I didn't before I wish I would have said alot more Instead we lost touch, and for that I am sorry I'd give anything to have my friend back.
