Stephen Matthew "Matt" East, 25, of Kingwood, Texas passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at his home. He was born October 19, 1994 in Orange, Texas and raised by his parents, Elvin F. East, III and Maria Proenza East. Matt was a member of First Baptist Church of Groves and was employed in sales with Prodigy Roofing. Matt is survived by his fianc, Kendra Chessher of Kingwood, TX, mother, Maria East of Groves, TX, six sisters, Ashley Kendrick of Foyil, Oklahoma, Jamie Miller and husband Sam of Port Neches, TX, Jessica East of Kerrville, TX, Alysa East of Portland, Oregon, Linda East of Orange, TX, and Christina East of Nederland, TX, and five brothers, Jason Balsano of Groves, TX, Evan Strickland of Nederland, TX, David East of Nederland, TX, Stephen Anthony East of Nederland, TX, and Noah East of Groves, TX. The family will have a private funeral service to honor Matts life.

Matt was a great person I remember hanging out with you and Christina, Linda, and Dustin a few times chilling in the area in front of your house and those times we had PE together in high school. You were always someone that was really easy to get along with and fun to talk to. rest easy friend your family is in my thoughts
