Stephen Todd Parker, 61, of Nederland, Texas passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. Stephen was born in Port Arthur, Texas on April 16, 1960 to Wayne Hamilton Parker and Sherry Lynn Theriot Parker.
A graduate of Nederland High School, Stephen received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from Lamar University. He retired as an Operations Supervisor from Valero Refinery in June of 2020 after many years of dedicated service.
Stephen enjoyed hunting, golfing, tinkering with things and always keeping busy. Above all, he was passionate about and dearly loved spending time with his family. He was humble, kind, and quick to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Stephen married the love of his life, Ginny Richardson Parker, in 1979, at the age of 19. Together they proudly raised their two children, Jessi and Seth in Nederland. Stephen was recently blessed with his first granddaughter, Graceyn, and they cherished every moment they spent together.
Stephen is preceded in death by his father, Wayne Hamilton Parker; his brother, Darren Thomason Parker; and his grandparents, Rivers and Alice Theriot.
Those left to cherish Stephen’s memory include his loving wife of forty-two years, Ginny Parker; his children, Jessi Farmer and her husband, Dylan, and his son, Seth Rivers Parker; granddaughter, Graceyn Jo Farmer; mother, Sherry Lynn Parker; brother, Michael Parker; uncle Greig Theriot and his wife, Debbie; aunts, Beverly Stansbury, Jan Tomlin and her husband, Charles, Karen Veillon and her husband, Nathan; nephews, Brock Richardson and his wife, Racheal, and Colby Davis and his wife, Jamie; nieces Megan Ewing and her husband Ranger, Aaran Gassiott and her husband, Brandon, and Amy Amann and her husband, Johnny; and a host of loving cousins, great nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Sunday, March 6, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church on Monday, March 7, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. with Father Jim McClintock, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
