I first met Steve when I hired on at the Fleet. We worked several years together although in different departments when we had the phase teams, it was some of the funnies times I have had in my entire life. It was always great to talk about hunting, fishing and he always asked how my side business doing European deer mounts was going and we would thumb through the recent ones I did. Steve loved to cook and we often shared our Cajun recipes. I will never forget he told me when he couldn't get his mom to eat much when she was sick and that he needed a good recipe to try and I told him I had an amazing seafood stuffing recipe that maybe she just needed some Cajun home cooking and he said it was worth a shot. He texted me that night and thanked me that his mom and the rest of the family loved it. Steve was a great man and a amazing friend to all. I will miss every Friday morning when Steve would say guys what today is Trey?. I would respond its MARGARITA FRIDAY, Steve and he would say you know it brother. He will be dearly missed by his work family. We are all praying for Phyllis and the rest of the family.

Phyllis and I became co workers and best friends during before hurricane Rita. I met her husband Steve and he was funny, caring, and a friend to my son and I. He was a great guy. Loved him like a brother.

Steve and I became friends early into 8th grade. We met in the bleachers of the gym during some school function. Soon after we were discovering our common interests of rock n roll, reading, hunting, fishing, cars and so many more Blink and we are sophomores and I had to have Steve-O come and meet my mamma so I could ride to school with him and Rick. He is one of the few friends that met her. I rode to a PNG football game with Steve his dad and mom. They were to drop me at my brothers. I didn’t know where he lived lol ole Mr Judice found his house. Was a little tense. Steve looking at me like. Dude this ain’t good. Then tragedy struck us both in March 1980 I lost my mom Steve lost his dad two weeks later. The priest called us in at his dads funeral and spoke with us. That moment forward we were brothers. Blink again and we are rabbit hunting every weekend, some of our best times we were 16. Blink he has that 70 something Camaro we coming home from school and the driveshaft dropped it could of been bad. Blink and we are riding to graduation with a party planned at the beach cabin. It was great. Blink we went into adulthood working together roofing and siding.business. He always had a truck to haul to the dump. My 18th birthday. Lol we went to Cardis to see Blackfoot we split a hurricane Dave gave us and had a beer. I got. Dwi on the way hone but Steve passed the test. So the law brought him back too my truck which was a standard. He drive motorcycles but not a standard shift truck. He was able to take my truck go to my house and get the money from my stash to bail my ass out of jail. Blink again he’s getting married and I’m thinking I was so happy for him. Walking the pier fishing. Galveston. Deer lease. Concerts and more concerts. Dinners together. Skipping school. I have too many memories of my brother friend to list His mother his brother and him were like family to me. Blink and we both start working for USDOT MARAD. During Harvey they were all here now that moment with Mom Judice and the family here is a treasure. . Steve always persevered. Showed up. Early and with a let’s do this attitude. He’d make you laugh. He’d make up funny songs on the guitar. He gave good advice. Was thoughtful and kind. Loved protected and provided. I’m so sad. I will forever miss my friend.
