Steve Osborne, 70, of Port Neches, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at his
residence in Port Neches, Texas with his family at his side.
Steve was born on January 1, 1953, in Port Arthur, Texas to Eula Mae McBride Osborne and
Melvin Osborne. He was a retired Boilermaker with Gulf Refinery in Port Arthur for over thirty
years. Steve loved fishing in Hackberry, hunting with his family and buddies at the ranch, and
most of all, he loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. Steve was known for spending
a lot of time with his friends and family in “Garage Therapy” where he would tell the best jokes
and stories while watching the ball games and cooking for everyone.
Steve is survived by his wife of fifty years, Gale Osborne of Port Neches; son, Ryan Osborne of
Port Neches; daughter, Rachel Franklin and her husband Bryan of Montgomery, Texas;
grandchildren, Reece Choate, Ross Choate, Maxx Franklin, Ryleigh Osborne, Keigan Osborne
and Lannie Meaux; sister, Beverly Avila of Beechwood, Texas, Janelle Osborne of Newton and
Cindy Haley and her husband Carol of Call; brother-in-law, Ricky Roy and his wife Debbie of
Lampasas; other family members, Jared Meaux, Ryan Robertson and Richard Cordaway all of
Port Neches; also a lot of nieces and nephews.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Eula Mae Osborne; brother, Chip
Osborne and his sister, Patricia Wells.
A gathering of family and friends to Honor the Life and Memory of Steve will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 21,2023 at Melancons Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas.
The family would like to thank the staff of Geneva Hospice and the family and friends who
supported us and especially Steve during his last year.
