I did not have the pleasure of knowing Steven that long, just the last couple time he was in the hospital. I work at St Mary's in food service and would deliver Steven's food to him. He was always very nice to me and the other staff, and we would try to give him anything he wanted to eat. The last time I spoke to Steven he wanted some ice cream, when I ask him Chocolate or vanilla he want to know if we had them mixed and I told him no, so he said bring him vanilla. Well on my way down to get it I decided to bring him one of each and a bowl so he could mix them together and have what he wanted. Not knowing that was the last time I would see him, I told him good night and I would see him tomorrow. Just the few week that I knew Steven I could tell he was a wonderful person inside and out, and wish I would have know him earlier. My thought are with his family and friend, May Steven rest in peace now.

Steven, you displayed such strength and courage throughout your whole treatment. You knew the difficult battle you were faced with and you didn't cower. You stood up, faced the challenge and pushed on. Our last conversation at the office, you told me "Stacy, I'm going to beat this and live on". Well sweetheart, you have beat it. You are finally rid of that horrible disease and you are able to go on without the pain. You are able to smile that infectious smile that you have and if we're lucky, we will see your smile and hear your laughter in our heart and our dreams. Fly high my sweet friend, I will carry a part of you with me always. My prayers go out to his sweet mother, his father, his brother and his wife.

You were always a great friend and one of the wildest, most honorable, funniest, bravest, goofiest, most loving and loved persons God ever created. You will be missed by many. You were a true Renaissance man who never tired of fighting the good fight. Rest well, Evets Nohud.

Steve, I sit here and think of you and flooded with memories; I can only write a few. Your boyish charm and smile I will miss most. I can't attend the service, but conjoined with our souls. For your Dad, he always called a great game. Seeing your lovely Mom was a pleasure. I need to get back my surfboard that I loaned you; my teenage grandgirls are anxious to learn, and of course I will teach them...all the while thinking of you-and making you proud. Guy
