Steven J. McKnight, 62, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away May 7, 2013. He was born in Beaumont, Texas on April 23, 1951 to the late J. W. and Claudine Alford McKnight.Funeral services will be held at Melancons Funeral Home in Nederland on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 2:00 p.m., Father Reggie George officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.Steven is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Aline BiJeaux McKnight of Port Arthur daughter, Shelly McKnight of Port Arthur motherinlaw, Jean BiJeaux of Port Arthur sisterinlaw, Michelle Davis, brotherinlaw, Johnny BiJeaux numerous nieces and nephews, greatnieces and greatnephews, and aunts and uncles.

Steve, I had the honor and pleasure to befriend Steve many years ago. Although our paths went in different ions, he was a man I will remember for his smile, laughter and humor. I wish the family a continuous life of memories of a man who will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace for Steve will be in heaven with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for all eternity.
