Susan Thompson Allison, 74, of Port Arthur passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021. Susan was born March 28, 1947, in Brackenridge, Pennsylvania to Stephen and Mildred Sydlik.
She attended Central Baptist Church in Port Neches. Susan retired from Dillard’s as a Clinique sales associate after thirty plus years of service. Her passion was to make people look and feel beautiful. As a stay-at-home mother, Susan began her career as a consultant for Avon, Mary Kay Cosmetics and Clinique. Susan was opened to learning new things, such as color analysis and time management.
Susan is preceded in death by her parents, Steven Sydlik and Mildred Pastrick Sydlik; stepson, Thomas William Allison.
Those left behind to cherish Susan’s memory are her husband, Garland Allison of Port Arthur, Texas; children, Brian Naughton and his wife, Dona of Nederland, Texas; Rhonda Rubel of Beaumont, Texas; Amie Litvik and her husband, Kenny of Nederland, Texas; Lee Anne Davis and her husband, Mike of Connecticut; and Steven Thompson and his wife, Serena of Orange, Texas; step-son, Michael Allison and his wife, Kimberly; brothers, Christopher Sydlik and his partner, Patsy Lucas of Pennsylvania; Stanley Sydlik of Pennsylvania; Steve Sydlik and his wife, Denise of Pennsylvania. Susan is also survived by her grandchildren, Jackie, Amanda, Jessica, Brittany, Evan, James, Cameron and Noah; great grandchildren, Matthew, Michael and Isabelle; 12 step-grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Bertie Phelps and Shirley Wolf; brother-in-law, Jerry Allison.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, June 29, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. Services for Ms. Susan will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Melancon’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
