Susan Rose Barras, 49, of Nederland, Texas passed away April 13, 2011 at Cypress Glen East Nursing Home in Port Arthur. She was born December 21, 1961 in Port Arthur, Texas to Louis Rene and Frances Elizabeth Pecorino Barras.A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, April 15, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Melancon39s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland, with a Scriptural Rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, April 16th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland, Msgr. Dan Malain celebrant. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.She is survived by her father, Lou Barras of Nederland daughter, Jennifer Bradley of Austin 3 brothers, Michael Barras of Port Neches, David Barras of Port Neches, and Joe Barras of Nederland sister, Nita McCarty and husband, Shane of Vidor and niece and nephew, Shelly and Randy Sponsler.
