Sybil Dean Sykes

Sybil Roy Sykes, 81, of Port Neches, Texas passed away July 18, 2011 at Harbor Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. She was born January 10, 1930 in Garrison, Texas to the late Edsel and Hattie Bell Elliotte Chandler.A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon39s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, Rev. Marv Howland officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.Sybil is survived by her daughter, Gale Osborne and husband Steve of Port Neches son, Rickie Roy and wife Debbi of Driftwood sister, Shirley Griggs of Center 6 grandchildren, Shaa Sykes, Ryan Osborne, Rachel Choate, Brandon Roy, Brent Roy, and Kayla Roy 5 greatgrandchildren Heather Sykes, Reece Choate, Ross Choate, Ryleigh Osborne, and Keigan Osborne also numerous nieces and nephews and a host of special friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Chester H. Sykes 3 brothers 1 sister and grandson, Christopher Alan Roy.
