Sylvia Ann Hanks Sylvia Ann Hanks, 80, of Port Arthur passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. She was born on August 30, 1936 in Sabine Pass, Texas to Luther and Florence Adaway Richard. Sylvia was a resident of Port Arthur for 58 years and was retired from Estelle's Fashion Cleaners. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 7, 2016 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Pastor Kyle Trahan officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be Sunday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Cook of Port Arthur, two sons, Raymond Hanks and wife Tammy of Port Neches, and Dewayne Hanks and wife Cristy of Nederland, nine grandchildren, Katrina Garrison, Joshua Lege, Wendy Mitchell, Sabrina Cook, Raymond Joseph Hanks, Seth James Hanks, Shelby Hanks, Brittney Hanks, Kaitlin Hanks, six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Hanks, Sr., twin sister, Shirley Harris, sisters, Estelle Stafford, and Catherine Ferguson and brother, Tony Stafford.
