Tanya Marie Clopton Alvarez, 44, of Port Arthur, Texas away on June 11, 2024, in Beaumont, Texas.
Tanya was born on January 21, 1980, in Nederland, Texas, to Dave and Rosanna Clopton. Tanya's life was filled with warmth and love for those around her. She looked forward to her visits to Jasper, Texas, considering it her safe haven amidst the beauty of nature.
Tanya's passion for life extended beyond her role as a homemaker. She found joy in listening to Gary Allan and particularly finding solace in the song "Redneck Girl” by the Bellamy Brothers. Her proudest accomplishments were centered around her devotion to family. Tanya was a loving wife to Thomas Alvarez of Port Arthur and a nurturing mother to Elizabeth Ann Alvarez, Thomas Alvarez Jr., and Daved Lee Alvarez. Family was at the core of her being and she approached life with a caring spirit, always ready to lend a helping hand.
In the wake of her passing, Tanya leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. She is survived by her parents Dave and Rosanna Clopton of Jasper; her sisters Brandy Cornwell and husband Robert of New Mexico and Bridget Melancon and fiancé Chad Fawvor of Nederland; as well as her mother-in-law Margarita Alvarez Ramos.
Additionally, she is lovingly remembered by her brothers-in-law Ignacio Alvarez and wife Wendy, Juan Alvarez, Gonzalo Alvarez, Martin Alvarez, and Jorge Alvarez; sisters-in-law Mari Elena Alvarez, Anna Alvarez and husband Jorge Mejia, Alejandra Alvarez and husband Roberto Ochoa, and Juana Alvarez. Tanya's close friends Trinidad Sagreno and wife Margarita stood by her side during both joyful and challenging times.
Her memory will also be cherished by nieces, nephews, extended family members and all those whose lives she touched with her kindness.
A visitation service will be held in remembrance of Tanya at Melancon Levingston in Nederland, located at 1605 Avenue H in Nederland, Texas on June 15th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Tanya Marie Clopton Alvarez will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love she shared unconditionally with those around her. May she rest in peace.
