Terrie Mougia, 61, of Nederland, passed away on July 11, 2024, at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur, Texas. She was born October 6, 1962, in Port Arthur, Texas to Clifford and Jerry Mougia. She graduated from Nederland High School and furthered her education at Lamar University.
Terrie worked in the medical field for 30 years, from which she retired in 2018. She began her career at Mid-Jefferson Hospital in Nederland, Texas, then moved to St. John’s Hospital in Webster, Texas, Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas, and ended her career at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur. Terrie loved the medical industry and was exceptionally knowledgeable in her field.
Terrie loved riding her Harley with friends and was devastated when she could no longer ride.
She loved her children and grandchildren and she prayed for them often.
Terrie is survived by her children, Joshua Vincent of Spring, Texas, Shawna Bishop of Nederland, Texas, and Taylor Sandlin and wife, Danielle of Magnolia, Texas, siblings: Debbie Benoit and husband, Bobby of Alpena, Arkansas, Brenda Theriot and husband, Anthony of Nederland, Texas, stepbrother, David Bonner of Lumberton, Texas, stepmother, Marcia Mougia of Lumberton, Texas. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Kylie Vincent, Ella Bishop, Ezra Bishop, Ethan Vincent, Brody Vincent, and Jude Vincent along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Terrie is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Jerry Mougia.
We want to thank everyone that has been by our side with prayers and support throughout this long journey. We know Terrie was overwhelmed with all the love… Also, a special thank you to the ICU Medical Center staff for all their care and support. We also want to thank Carrie Sowell, a very dear friend, for the help she so graciously gave during this difficult time.
A gathering of friends and family will begin at 1 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 2 pm, Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H, Nederland, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or Autism Speaks.
