Theresa Nanette Hayles

Theresa Nanette DeRoche Hayles of Port Neches, TX passed away on July 5, 2016 at her home.

Nanette was born on February 7, 1956 in Port Arthur, TX, to John Alfred and Anna Waller DeRoche of Groves, TX. After graduation Nanette joined the United States Air Force. Her service led her to England where her daughter Crystal Star was born. Nanette returned home to Texas and was a longtime resident of Mid-County. She was an animal lover, loved to read, go to the movies, and she was a great cook. Throughout her life she enjoyed sharing all these things with her friends and family.

She is survived by her father, Al DeRoche and wife Helen of Bridge City, TX; daughter, Crystal White of the UK; son, Ian Hayles and wife Jaimie of Beaumont, TX; sister, Debbie Kurtz of Nederland, TX; brothers, David DeRoche and wife Debbie, Steven DeRoche and wife Molly both of Nederland, TX; grandchildren, Andrew, Jadyn, Colton and Gavin. Nanette is preceded in death by her mother Anna Kleinpeter.

Nanette had the most beautiful blue eyes and she was pretty. She was a little different as we all were much younger, but, hey that was my cousin. She was smart, but witty, at times. Our grandmother thought she was the girl to go somewhere, and that she did in the Air Force. Rest in peace pretty "blue eyes" and I will always remember the good ole days. Bertha L.
