Theresa Ann Wise, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Groves, Texas, at the age of 74. Born on May 14, 1950, in Port Arthur, Texas.

      Theresa's professional journey saw her retire from the Port Arthur Independent School District and St. Mary's Hospital, where she worked diligently as a custodian. Her commitment to her work was paralleled only by her love of and from her family. She was a long-time parishioner of St. Charles of Borromeo Catholic Church.

      A proud graduate of Bishop Byrne High School, class of 1969, Theresa carried her educational experiences with her throughout her life. Known for her love of Sci-Fi movies and as a huge Star Trek fan, she found joy and solace in cinema, allowing it to enrich her simple yet fulfilling life.

      Theresa is lovingly survived by her brother, Mike Wise and his wife Ettie of Crystal Beach; her nieces, Kristen Wise of Washington, D.C.; Jasmine Wise of Houston; Krisanda Wise and Will Shaver of Nederland; Kristina Berry of Norfolk, Virginia; Jamie Gaspard of Nederland;  great-niece Mackenzie Wise; alongside other great nieces and great nephews. Her family will carry her memory in their hearts, reflecting on the kindness and warmth she shared with all those who knew her.

      She was preceded in death by her parents, Irene and John Wise, and her brother, James Wise. Their spirits, alongside Theresa's, are sure to be cherished in the memories of family and friends.

      A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., on Friday, December 27, 2024, followed by a service to begin at 3:00 p.m., at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home in Nederland. Interment will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., at Gorum Cemetery in Gorum, Louisiana.
