Uncle Tom never failed to sign up for his company beach house every summer. And for that one week, wed trade the confining hills of West Virginia for the wide sandy beaches of the Gulf. To me, it always seemed like something in a dream seagulls overhead and sand dollars at our feet. Wonderful memories.Uncle Tom was a naturalborn storyteller and always had the right story for the right situation, most of which brought peals of laughter from his audience. We often teased him, he quottalked with his handsquot. He was part of a generation who loved their country, believed in an honest day work for an honest days pay and treated others with respect and kindness. He will be missed.

Roger, David Family, I am so sorry about your dad. Tom was a good friend to my parents as we grew up down the street from you all. Before Tom moved he and my dad Harrel would visit everyday. My dad missed Tom when he moved as they would sit out on the swing in my dads driveway and wayed to the cars that went by. I will miss him also. God Bless you in this time of sorrow. Heaven has been given a wonderful man. Love to all,Gwen Gomez Family

Roger...my deepest condolences go out to you and your family. Outside of my family, you were probably one of my first playmates, living next door to our funeral home in Nederland. It has been many years, but I have many fond memories. I remember your parents as very kind, and caring. Again, our prayers are with you. I have been living in Houston since 1980. Email me if you get a chance, and we will quotcatch upquot.
