Thomas Edward Butler, 82, of Nederland, Texas passed away January 25, 2013 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas. He was born in Ben Wheeler, Texas on August 14, 1930 to the late Jess Thomas and Eufaula Stanger Butler. Thomas was a member of First United Methodist Church in Nederland and retired as a machinist after 36 years of service with UNOCAL.Funeral services will be held at First United Methodist Church in Nederland on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Malcolm Monroe officiating. A graveside service will be held at Haven of Memories Cemetery in Canton, Texas on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancons Funeral Home in Nederland from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013.Thomas is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Imogene Butler of Nederland 3 sons, Tommy Butler and wife, Connie of Nederland, Michael Butler and wife, Carolyn of Nederland, and Brent Butler and wife, Stacey of Nederland sister, Martha Garrison and husband, Jimmy of Ben Wheeler 7 grandsons, Jason Butler and wife, Kristin, Zachary Butler and wife, Marci, Holden Butler, Brian Butler and wife, Kari, Logan Butler, Jess Butler, and Wade Butler and great grandchildren, Jude Butler, Blair Butler, Ella Butler, Major Butler, and Emma Butler.Memorial contributions can be made to the First United Methodist Church in Nederland.
