Larry Swan, 69, of Port Neches passed away on May 3, 2013 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. He was the son of the late Thomas Britt and Minnie Mae Swan, born in Crossett, Arkansas on April 25, 1944. Larry was an area resident for 44 years and was employed as a commercial driver for Allied Waste. He was a member of Val Verde Baptist Church in Groves.Larry was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Linda Pagan Swan, and son Lance Swan. He is survived by daughters, Lori Sloan and husband Bryan of Port Neches Kim Begnaud and husband Kevin of Groves sister, Barbara Nutt and husband Bill of Nederland grandchildren, Joshua, Kortney Sloan, Brandon, Lindsay, Jordan Begnaud great grandson Liam Begnaud, cousins and close friends, Philip and Jerry Baker and many nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be at Melancons Funeral Home, 1605 Ave. H in Nederland on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Lathan Hill officiating with cremation to follow. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancons Funeral Home on Monday, May 6, 2013, from 5:00 pm 8:00 p.m.

Kim Lori,Nothing I can say will help the broken feeling or pain in your chest right now, I have vowed to not try to do that ever again because now I know it doesnt help at all even with the intentions.
