Thomas A. Wood

Thomas A. Wood, 79, of Bridge City, Texas died May 7, 2010 at Senior Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Port Arthur, Texas. Thomas was born April 25, 1931 in Dallas County, Arkansas to Charles Otto Wood and Alphia Elizabeth Jeans Wood. He was a resident of Bridge City, Texas for 60 plus years and a member of First Assembly of God in Bridge City. He retired from Honeywell as an Electrician/ Instrumentation and was also a US Air Force Veteran. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with Rev. Robby Holland officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial park. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2010 at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark McBride. Surviving relatives include his wife, Jackie Wood of Bridge City, Texas; daughter, Janet Freeman and husband, David Freeman, Sr. of Orange, Texas; sons, Perry McBride and wife, Julie of Bridge City, Texas, Ricky McBride and wife, Beth of Birmingham, Alabama, Thurl Wood and wife, Ava of Jasper, Texas; sisters, Lottie Fisher of Leesville, Louisiana, and Liz McMan of Houston, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
