At 1:53 p.m. on Monday, June 13, 2022 our Dad and Papa, Thomas Melvin Wright, joined our Nana and babies in heaven. He was born in Center, Texas on May 22, 1943.

He was a man of few words, but had a heart of gold. He served our country in the United States Armed Forces as a very proud Marine. He loved his three kids and six grandchildren, dearly, and his wife, Glynda, of 56 years. He has missed her every minute of the three long years she has been gone.

Tom was always early and never late. He loved to work, ride motorcycles and loved the Dallas Cowboys. Tom coached baseball and football, making it the best experience as possible for the kids. He was a father figure and role model to many. We will miss him dearly, but so happy he is free from pain and suffering.

He is survived by his children Alesha Hogue and her husband, Todd; Kyle Wright and his wife, Samantha; Brian Wright and his fiancé, Jaime; his grandchildren, Joshua Wright and his wife, Chelsey; Dylan Wright, Callie Wright and Jackson Wright; his great-grandchildren, Ridge Wright and Graysen Wright; and his siblings, Eddie Wright and his wife, Mary; and Richard Wright; and his dog, Annie.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Glynda, grandsons Cade and Jett, and his parents.

A gathering of family and friends to honor the life of Thomas Melvin Wright will be held Friday, June 17, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas. A memorial service with military honors will immediately follow beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
