Our company, Hernandez & Solis, Inc. has been doing business before Joan and Tim owned McPhillips Tire, and have come to think of him as a friend. When I daughter came into the store to rotate her tires before she left for Shreveport, Tim told my husband that if she were my daughter, he would not let her take the highway with the tires she had on her car. Tim always gave that extra caring mile for his customers. He never sold you anything you did not need, and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed one. Our company knew a man of character, honesty, and a devoted man to his customers. Our family knew a man who cared enough about my daughter to insure her safety on the road. The Good Lord has the best mechanic in the world with him who always had a smile bigger than Texas on his face. Tim ALWAYS had a smile on his face and a devotion in his heart to the Lord. We are all better people for knowing Tim Capadonna, and being a part of his world.

We lived next to the Cappadonna family for a while on Hayes street when we were very young. I was fortunate to reconnect with Tim awhile back at his Tire shop and had a good chat about the past and scuba diving. A real genuinely nice guy for sure. Our condolences from the entire Walker Family and our prayers are with the family. Keith and Cindy Walker

When I think of my favorite people I've known throughout my entire life....Tim comes to mind. He was there, a 'best bud' when we were kids...a bright light, just waiting for the next opportunity to shine! He'd always help with dad's campaigns - putting out signs, then celebrating our good fortunes and helping w/everything as he was so good at doing, for anyone in need, anytime they needed it. Later, when I moved away, I missed his silly yet wonderfully happy way of being. Just the thought of his sparkling eyes would refresh my soul. The planet needs more people like Tim. He came out to see us, visited dad, and put a very difficult heater in my bath upstairs (Thank God) and we planned for him to come back, and visit, but it's not to be. I'm so very glad for all the good times we had and am hoping he gets wings as big as the great character he showed us all throughout his life. Peace be with you all. Love & Light, Julie'

To the Cappadonna family My deepest sympathy to all of you. My memories of Tim go all the way back to when Tim was one of my mom's(Marjorie Choate) cub scouts. He has always been so kind and caring. His love of family and of God showed in everything Tim did. I will miss Tim's smile and his greeting at the church luncheons, always a hug, a smile and a kind word. He will be remembered by all who knew him. We can't understand why God has called Tim from this earth but we all know God has a reason for everything. Just know that our prayers are with all of you at this time and remember that Tim is in our hearts and the memories will keep him alive until we meet him again. May God bless all of you and help you through these difficult times.

To the Cappadonna Family, I've known Tim since I was about 5 years old. He was one of my most favorite people in this world. We attended St. Catherine's Catholic School together, Thomas Edison Jr. High and TJ together. I remember being so upset when both he and Mike were injured at the race track and when his hair grew back curly, he was not a happy camper! He was such a good friend to all of us and he made school fun & memorable. Thank you Tim for coming to see me when daddy passed away, it meant so much. You will be missed by all. Tim was in my math class at Thomas Edison Junior High. That was almost 40 years ago, but I still remember him -- sweet, pleasant, kind, bright, and with the most beautiful eyes. He was a gentleman, even as an eighth-grader. I was so saddened to read of his death. May wonderful memories sustain his family.

Tim was always very supportive of law enforcement in Groves. He was instrumental in starting the Community Watch group for West Groves several years ago. He was a good husband, a good father and a good citizen. He will be truly missed by all.

Tim and I were both injured around the same time in high school. I was in a car accident and bed-ridden, and he was injured in the car racing pit. He came to my house barely able to walk himself to encourage me. His smile when he walked into my room was instant sunshine. I have always cherished this image & friendship. Tim, I was so very sorry to hear of your passing. Your family was like my second family growing up. Patricia was like my sister - so you were like my big brother too. I remember the many trips we took to Wildwood and how you always pulled us around in the boat to ski. You were the best big brother ever and I always knew if anyone ever messed with Patricia or I at school - you would have our backs! I know your family will miss you dearly and you were taken way too soon, but hopefully they will be able (at some point) to focus on the time they HAD you and how much richer their lives were because of you. My sincere condolences to the entire Cappadonna family.

Tim was like a little brother to me. I grew up with Tim in groves. We used to swim and ride the go- cart down Hayes street. Was able to reconnect with Tim over the past 3 or 4 years and looked forward to my visit to Groves to stop by the shop and catch up with everyone. What an awesome man Tim grew up to be. Rhonda and I will truly miss stopping by to visit with Tim. Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole family.
