Tommy Hale

Tommy Hale, 69, of Port Neches, Texas passed away April 16, 2019. He was born in Port Arthur, Texas on November 29, 1949 to the late Louis O. Hale and Mary Lee Fontenot Hale. He was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland. Before retiring, Tommy worked 45 years as Fire Chief for Ashland Inc.

Those left to cherish Tommy’s memory are his wife of 50 years, Brenda Hebert Hale of Port Neches; his sons, Tommy Hale, Jr. and his wife, Julie of Houston and Jamie Hale and his wife, Karie of Groves; his brother, Billy Hale and his wife, Debra of Groves; and his grandchildren, Lauren Hale and Ethan Hale; also a host of loving nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2019 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. under the direction of Melancon’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.

Brenda, sending prayers of peace and comfort to everyone. I watched the video, and saw the person Tommy had grown into. I had not seen him since childhood, and often wondered about him. I see our Poppaw, Allen Hale, and Uncle Louis in him so I know from knowing them that he was a good man. Know that we are all thinking about you and your family during this hard time.
