Tommy Lee Mason

Tommy Lee Mason went to be with the Lord on April 11, 2022, at the age of 72. He was born in Port Arthur Texas on November 12, 1949, to the late Lee Raymond Mason and Rose Mae Romero Mason. He was the oldest of six children.

Tommy graduated from Bishop Byrne high school as well as Lamar University. He proudly served 6 years in the US Army National Guard as a paratrooper. He went to nursing school and became a registered nurse for 45 years. The last 20 years he served as a First Assistant of Surgery at several Dallas Hospitals. He retired in 2018 in Fort Worth and was a member of St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church.

Those left to cherish Tommy’s memory are his son, Kris Mason and wife Pam, grandchildren Alex and Sophia of Missouri City, his son Cody Mason & wife Ashley, grandson Declan of Dallas.

Sisters Shelly Mason Dollar & husband Doug, Rose Mason Barron, Dana Mason Hathcock & husband Johnny, Julie Mason, Nephews Bill Alldaffer, Al Judice III, Niece Alicia Romero and their families, 2 Aunts, Ann Hinds and Mabel Mason and many cousins.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, brother Lee Mason Jr. and niece Shannon Alldaffer.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home on Friday, May 6, 2022, from 4 PM to 6 PM. A Rosary will be recited at 5 PM by Father Kevin Badeaux.

The family request in lieu of flowers consider making a donation to the Humane Society in loving memory of Tommy Mason.
