Tommy “TJ” Wayne Miller, Jr., 33, of Groves passed away Friday, July 9, 2021. TJ was born November 16, 1987, in Port Arthur, Texas to Tommy Wayne Miller, Sr. and Charlene Ann Frederick. He was a member of Encounter Church and worked in construction as a pipefitter for the past 15 years. TJ loved fishing and eating crawfish. He enjoyed family trips and spending time with his children.
TJ is preceded in death by his grandfather, Roy Frederick; grandmother, Delva Miller; grandfather, Ed Miller; and aunt, Cindy Mathews.
Those left behind to cherish TJ’s memory are his wife of 6 years, Amy Miller; children, Adryenne Miller, Gage Miller, Issac Nation and Logan Nation; mother, Charlene Mathews and her husband, Kevin; father, Tommy Miller, Sr. and his wife, Lilla; grandmother, Betty Frederick; grandmother, Mary Jo Mathews and her husband, Roger; grandmother, Ann Yakubik and her husband, Pete; mother-in-law, Jeanie Smith and her husband, Buz; sister-in-law, Jodie Ducote and her husband, Troy; brother-in-law, Ryan Osborne and his wife, Haley Smith. TJ also leaves behind his siblings, Coy Carter and her husband, Terry; Brandy Seymour; Jonathan Miller and his wife, Shaylan; Shawn Benny and her husband, Jim; Blake Mathews; aunts, Patsy Villadsen and her husband, Robert; Kristy Harvey and her husband, Eric; uncles, David Miller, Bill Mathews and Jeffery Mathews; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, July 17, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with a Celebration of TJ’s Life to begin at 11:00 a.m., at Melancon’s Funeral Home.
