Travis Scott Bergeron Sr.

Travis Scott Bergeron, Sr., 73, of Nederland, Texas passed away February 17, 2020. He was born in Port Arthur, Texas on November 17, 1946 to the late Loveless Bergeron, Sr. and Margaret Smith Bergeron. Travis retired from Pipefitter Local 195 of Nederland. He served his country proudly in the U. S. Army Reserves and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland.

Those left to cherish Travis’s memory are his son, Dusty Bergeron and his wife, Sabrina of Nederland; his daughter-in-law, Debbie Bergeron of Nederland; his grandchildren, Meagan Whitaker, Macie Bergeron, Hailee Easterling, Kelly Bergeron, Austin Bergeron, and Mattie Bergeron; and his great-grandchildren, Gray Whitaker, Griffin Whitaker, Oakley Easterling, and Hollyn Bergeron. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Scott Bergeron, and his brother L. J. Bergeron.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. Funeral Services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County in Nederland.

The family would like to thank Penny Lee and staff of Forever Young Home for the care given to Travis. A special thanks to Tasha Broom of Hospice Plus for her special care given to Travis.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

So sad to get this news. Have know Travis for many years and always thought of him as a great friend. Had so much fun in high school and later got to renew our friendship when we went to church together. Fly with the angels, Travis. You will be missed. But I know there is a great reunion in heaven today.
