Tyrone “Ty” Becker, 75, of Nederland, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at his residence in Nederland. He was born July 20, 1939 in Beaumont to the late Lovic “Cowyboy” Becker and Clara Pippins Becker. At a young age he lived in Port Neches and graduated from Port Neches Groves High School. He moved to Nederland 58 years ago and served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He worked 32 years at DuPont Beaumont Works in the maintenance department and also was the owner and operator of Becker Trailer Sales for 30 years. Ty loved his family and friends, and growing up he was a true cowboy breaking many wild horses with his father. He also was an avid motorcycle rider where he and his wife, Mary Ann rode many miles together covering several states. Ty loved his ranch in Kirbyville and his lake house on Toledo Bend.
A gathering of Ty’s family and friends will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday with his funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Saturday. A private interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County in Nederland.
Ty is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary Ann Richardson Becker of Nederland; two daughters, Jill Peloquin and her husband, Brian of Nederland, and Tara Ambrose of Alvin; five sons, Ty Becker Jr. of Tyler, Murray Becker and his wife, Ana of Stafford, Bart Foreman and his wife, Daisy of Kountze, Rev. Chris Jimmerson and partner, Dr. Wayne Bockmon of Austin, and Jarrel Jimmerson and his wife, Annette of Cedar Park; one sister, Cheryl Becker Chapman and her husband, Thomas of Nederland; seven grandchildren, Dustin Harris, Devon Brack, Jamey Mooney, Savannah Foreman, Jacob Becker, Bryce Mooney, Emma Jimmerson, Amanda Peloquin, Bethany Peloquin, Aaron Hughes, and Krysta Vann; two great grandchildren, Alyssa Peloquin, and Isabella Peloquin. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, also his grandson, Tyler Land.
