Ursula Helen Lefkowitz, 95, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away, Monday, March 16, 2020 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur, Texas. Ursula was born December 6, 1924 in Germany to Fred and Jenny Roos. She was a resident of Port Arthur for 80 years and a member of Temple Emanuel in Beaumont. Ursula was retired after owning Irving's Jewelry for many years. She was the first female member of the North Port Arthur Rotary Club and active for many years in the Port Arthur Little Theatre. A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Ursula was preceded in death by her husband, Irving Lefkowitz and cousin, Stephen Roos. Friends and family would like to thank her loving care giver, Albina Leiva and her family.

"Make sure you give us a good story" is how Ursula would sometimes wrap up a visit. I wrote about her for Port Arthur News many times and will recall her asking to make sure we mention that she furnished sugar-free desserts for Rotary Taste of Gumbo and also the Christmas cloths she got on her frequent cruises for Rotary raffles. She loved Port Arthur.
