Van Hong "Rose" Nguyen, 62, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. "Rose" was born October 15, 1951 in Ninh Binh, Vietnam to Manh Nguyen and Thuc Pham Nguyen. She was a resident of Port Arthur for many years and retired from the City of Port Arthur. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves with Reverend Khue Bui officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Survivors include her daughter, Ann B. Nguyen of Beaumont; son, Alphonse Nguyen of Port Arthur; six brothers, Lac Nguyen, Long Nguyen, Quan Nguyen, Co Nguyen, The Nguyen and Thuc Nguyen.
