Velma Thibodeaux LeBlanc, 94, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Golden Years Assisted Living in Orange, Texas. Velma was born August 2, 1923 in Kaplan, Louisiana to John Dartez and Eva Sonnier Dartez. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches where she was a member of the Altar Society. Velma was an avid bowler for many years, loved to travel, and always enjoyed spending time with family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m., Friday, January 19, 2018 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas. Velma was preceded in death by her first husband of thirty-four years, Elmo Pierre Thibodeaux, second husband of twenty-two years, A.J. LeBlanc, and her seven siblings. Surviving relatives include her daughters, Jean McCorvy and husband Robert of Ft. Worth, Texas; Judy Arsenault and husband Skipper of Port Arthur, Texas; son, Darrell Thibodeaux and wife Joan of Tomball, Texas; step-children, Glen LeBlanc of Bridge City, Texas; Carolyn LeBlanc of New Iberia, Louisiana; Neil LeBlanc of Austin, Texas; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
