Velma Ruth Raggio, 90, of Nederland, Texas, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.

Funeral Services will follow on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Officiating will be Reverend Brent Williams. A burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.

Velma was born on October 17, 1933, in Canton, Texas. She was the daughter of Carthol Cozell Thompson and Lizzie Thompson.

She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-four years, John H. Raggio.

She is survived by her two sons, Ken Raggio and wife Stacy of Ragley, LA; and David Raggio and wife Brenda of Baytown, TX; one daughter, Janet Whitton of Lumberton, TX; grandchildren: Brian Raggio and wife Aimee; Chad Raggio and wife Ashley; Sara Raggio; Rebekah Bernardini and husband John; Daniel Whitton; and Stephen Whitton and wife Ashley; great-grandchildren: Ashley, Morgan, Cole, Diane, Laura, Winston, Jasper, Benjamin, Luke, and Jack; her sister Patsy Bethel and husband Don of Bossier City, LA.
