Vera Bernice Glenn Say, born February 18, 1920 in Bessmay, Texas to Douglas Glenn and Tennessee Sheppard Glenn, went to be with her Savior on February 21, 2010. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leslie Wayne Say, and her sister, Jimmie Glenn Boissey. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Say Puntes and husband, Bobby; her son, Michael Wayne Say and wife, Elaine; five granddaughters, Laura Say Spore, Cathy Say Gantt and husband, Cliff, Leslie Say Welsh, Paula Puntes Richey, and Robin Puntes Ankeny and husband, Jeff; six great grandchildren, Joshua Spore, Jessica Spore, Austin Gantt, Madison Gantt, Jackson Ankeny, and Luke Ankeny. Bernice is also survived by her sister, Mozelle Glenn Lanclos. A longtime resident of Groves, Bernice was an excellent homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting, and painting. She was a member of Eastern Star and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Bridge City. For the past seven years, Bernice lived at Hotel Beaumont and was blessed to have very supportive caregivers. She will be loved and missed by her family and friends. Pallbearers include Jeff Ankeny, Cliff Gantt, Joshua Spore, Raymond Lanclos, Nick Nichols, and Bob Todd. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2010 and funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bernice's memory can be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
