Although I'm not able to attend the service for Verla, my heart says good-by to another special lady that I've looked up to at FBD Groves. She always had a smile on her beautiful face & just radiated love to all.

Sweet Verla Mae, I can remember going to work with her at Neches FCU. She was always so kind. When my children were babies and wouldn't eat over ripe bananas, I would bring them to her. She would save them until they were almost black. I have often thought of her since moving on from NFCU. She was a very special lady.

Calling his disciples to himself, he said to them, 'Amen, I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the other contributors to the treasury. For they have all contributed from their surplus wealth, but she, from her poverty, has contributed all she had, her whole livelihood. '" Ms. Verla gave me a $2 bill for luck one Christmas. This is but a small example of a giving and loving heart. I carry that $2 bill in my wallet to this day and always will. Thank you Jesus for allowing Ms. Verla to enter my life. I am absolutely richer for this blessing.

Loved all the the places we traveled in the Motor Home...seeing the sights and if it rained you would find us playing cards, reading or napping! After retiring we had no schedules to meet and we never passed a Flea Market, we had to stop to at least faanguur! You will be missed! Joy and Gene
