Verlea was an active member of many clubs and organizations and a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Groves. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Cecil Hinson and eight brothers and sisters. Verlea is survived by her daughter, Weida Philpott and husband Eddie, son, Lionel Hinson, four grandchildren, Lionel "Deuce" Hinson and wife Belinda, Trey Hinson, Echo Sullivan and husband Eric, Aspen Hebert and husband Heath, eleven great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who adored her.
